Discover Nafplio (duration 2,5 hours)
Start your day early and head to Nafplio, a picturesque town located about 2 hours drive from Athens. Nafplio was the first capital of Greece after the revolution and played a significant role in the events leading up to the revolution.
Visit the Palamidi Fortress, a Venetian castle built on a hill overlooking the town of Nafplio. The fortress played an important role in the revolution as it was used as a prison for Greek fighters. The climb to the fortress may be steep, but the views are breathtaking.
Explore Tripoli (duration 1,5 hours)
Next, head to the nearby town of Tripoli, which was also a key location during the revolution. Visit the Archaeological Museum of Tripoli to learn more about the region’s history and see exhibits related to the revolution.
Visit the traditional Village of Stemnitsa (duration 2 hours)
